LONDON: Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, MNA of Awami Muslim League (AML) has said he is sure he was stopped from travelling to Canada by American in behest of Pakistan Government.
“There was no direct link of Americans with my travel to Canada as I was to travel to three cities of Canada”, Sheikh said while talking to media after his arrival in London.
This formal chat with Sheikh Rasheed was arranged in Alford East London where AML leaders and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf leaders were also present on the occasion.
Sheikh Rasheed was looking a little shaky and he was not talking with media in his traditional tune.
He said Government of Pakistan at present in fighting of three fronts and there is no chance of mistake for the Government. General Musharraf, dialogue with Taliban and declaring India a Most Favorite Nation (MFN) are three fronts and every one of it is serious and sensitive, he added.
“Present Government due to lack of capacity and due to inefficiency is not capable to resolve any of these issues, as they are being run by some other force”, he said.
Sheikh said opposition role at present is playing by Imran Khan.
“Army is with Musharraf and people should not take the issue otherwise”, Sheikh Rasheed said, adding one day Musharraf leave Pakistan with complete security and safety.
He said the Government is causing unwanted delay in this case and if they are ready to open Pandora box then there is no problem as their own ministers will be grabbed in this issue. “It is sure they would not open the Pandora Box and will not sacrifice six ministers in the cabinet, but are causing delays”, he added.
To a question, Sheikh Rasheed said it is sure that Nawaz Sharif has this one year if he failed to deliver he has to go.
Responding to a question regarding the forward block in Tehreek e Insaf, Sheikh Rasheed said after 18th, 19thand 20th Amendments in the Constitution all these things are meaningless, He said pressure groups are in the party.
AML Britain President Saleem Sheikh, Secretary General, Beena Khan, Muneeza Baseer, Tehreek e Insaf leaders Amjid Khan, Sajid Khan and Javed Sheikh were present on the occasion.
